Answer #1

Sexual harassment can occur in some different situations

·             The victim, as well as the harasser, may be a woman or a man. The victims may be of the same sex.

·             The harasser can be a supervisor, an agent of the employer, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, friend

·             The harasser's conduct must be unwelcome.

·             A harasser may be the one u don’t know but he can make he intentionally portray such behavior.

Avoidance is the best tool to reject sexual harassment. Employers are fortified to take steps necessary to avoid sexual harassment from happening. The employees should understand that sexual harassment will not be accepted. They can do so by delivering training to their employees and by establishing an operative complaint or grievance process and taking immediate action when an employee complains.

It is unlawful to harass a person based on his sex discrimination. Harassment can include sexual harassment or unwelcome sexual improvements, desires for sexual favors, verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature. Harassment is not desired to want favors but also based on sex discrimination. ex:   harassing a woman by making offensive comments on women in general.

Misconceptions:

1.• Only women can file a case for sexual harassment, there is no such thing as sexual harassment of the same man can also file a case.

2.• Sexual harassment only covers protection against unwelcome sexual advances at work or other conduct that is sexual in nature.
