Answer #1

Attitude is a manner in which an individual thinks about a particular situation. Mood is a state of mind at the particular moment. Attitude is a state of a person, while mood is a emotional and mental condition of a person. Moods are often not controllable by oneself. However, an art to master controlling mood swings helps develop a stronger and more capable individual.

Example of moods and attitude:

Mondays are usually sluggish as people are returning from weekend holiday and are not in "mood" for work. As a result an employee may not be at his highest efficiency during Monday morning time. However, as the week progresses, and the weekend nears up, the employee's efficiency increases and is highest on Friday. The reason for this increase is the hope and excitement for the weekend. This is an impact of mood.

While, if an employee is found to be non-co-operative and non-responding to the customers' complaints everyday, this means, the individual's attitude itself is negative. Or, if an employee is enthusiastic about all the new tasks allotted to him, then this employee has an enthusiastic, energetic attitude and welcomes change and challenges.
