What is the significance of distinguishing between feelings, moods and emotions? What steps do you ordinarily take to deal with a bad mood? Do you think a person's family of origin affects how feelings, moods, and emotions are managed? What examples can you provide?

Feelings , moods and emotions all the three things are psychological but are inter related to each other.Significance of distinguishing between these things depends upon the social self and inner self.

To take care of my bad mood I like to do the activities which gives some relaxation to my mind like music therapy, long driving, and physical intimacy etc.

Yes, its true that persons background matters in managing these things because a person can only opt for better options if he or she is aware of it else he or she will be puzzled and it attracts frustations only. For example-- a business man who have the family business knows that loss and profit are the part of business thus he has the patience to wait for the right moment to act for , but if the businessman has no business background he may got puzzled and might change his mood to stop or to shift business etc.
