As a health care manager how would you utilize to correct the quality issue of medical errors?
As a health care manager my primary objective is maintain quality in the healthcare organization and when we talk about quality it would mean that I need to maintain the quality of most of the processes that take place in the organization. Errors are quite common in any profession and it is inevitable as well but in medical science an error may be very costly to the life of an individual and therefore the organization or the physicians cannot to afford to commit an error because that may actually be fatal for a patient. There are various reasons of medical errors and by analyzing the reasons I need to understand the root cause of each and every error and devise or improve the process which will ensure that such errors are not repeated in the future.
The very first step will understanding the cause of the errors that frequently occur and then after analysis of the error and explanations from the individuals related a process needs to be developed which will ensure that this particular error should not be reputed, similarly for all such errors the organization needs to find out a way and the way to reduce the error. The quality team should be created which will be looking after the quality aspect of the process and they should monitor how things turn out to be in the organization and the new protective measures that has been devised. I guess that these measures will help reduce medical errors in the organization and improve quality.
