Always be assessing the patients entire body and systems even when there is one specific problem.like finding dry membranes when I was just asked to change the dressing.

I would apply Maslow's hierarchy of needs into Mrs.marrow's plan of care.I would make sure the patient meets the patients outcome yo improve quality of life.I would also maintain patient safety and make sure the patient is comfortable at all times.I would educate the patient to promote healing and better life style changes. Also communicating with interprofessional team members assigned to the care plan to direct center patient care.

I could apply the knowledge I obtained from this simulation by remembering to keep it simple and to the point.I found myself looking further into what could be wrong when all the data was provided.making sure I stay focused on the reason the patient is here, and treating accordingly.I will now know to make sure and assess the dressing prior to changing and after,and making sure that I document my finding.making sure that I assess the would before irrigating.
