The American diet consist 62 % of processed food such as sweets, oils, potato chips, rice, applesauce, refined grains, 25.5 % consists of meats and eggs, 10 % consists of vegetables and 2.5 % conists of whole grains.

Type 2 diabetes mellitu is a condition in which the metabolic system is hampered, the majority of the causes of type 2 diabetes melllitus is to lifestyle and nutritional imbalance. As the American Diet mostly contains processed food and foods such as fried and preservatives are mostly involved.
