Electronic communication can be a very effective way of communicating. What formats are you aware of in electronic communications and what may be some disadvantages to these methods of communications?

There are wide array of electronic communications available as of today. Can be broadly divided into interactive and non interactive.

Non interactive electronic communications primary includes those in which the other person cannot communicate back. For example TV , radio etc. Being one sided is the biggest disadvantage.

Interactive electronic communications include emails, mobile phones, other newly advance modes of communication based on internet such as mobile apps, individual applications , websites etc.with the advance in internet technology there are numerous new modes for electronic communication including social media platforms, multimedia handling websites, live digital meeting apps like that. In the future also we are expecting changes like this.

One of the major disadvantages of this electronic communication is that we become addicted to

the technology. It has taken it to a particular point that without electronic communication our lives are not possible.

Data security is another thing that can be told as a disadvantage. Personal data security is a myth now.

Another disadvantage in electronic communication is increasing number of electronic frauds.

Internet dependency of this modern electronic communication makes all of them useless during times of natural calamities where internet may not be available.

People can misuse of this electronic communication. Where the physical presence of an individual is requested it can be compromised by shear communication by electronic devices.
