1. The attitudes and behaviors of culturally aware nurses include;

Acquiring the knowledge of the different cultures in our service area, especially in relation to healthcare practices and beliefs.

Avoiding making stereotypical assumptions about the culture of the patient and becoming aware of our own biases and prejudices.

Learning new communication skills; regardless of primary language to simplify the language for any patient.

2. My value of service and justice to my profession influences the quality of relationships and interactions I may have with diverse clients, families, or populations. I make an extra effort to communicate with my client as I want to be true to my profession and serve my client nicely.
