  1. Obesity means excessive accumulation of fat in the body which can cause many health problems including diabetes, cardiac diseases and so on. It can be diagnosed by BMI. A BMI more than 30 is obese. It is a preventable and treatable condition. The main ways to overcome this condition are dietary restrictions and regular exercise. Regarding diet, a low calorie diet is preferred which means an intake of diet with a total calorie between 800 and 1500. When we restrict the calorie, make sure that ir is well balanced with macronutrients, vitamins and minerals. Reduce fatty(especially saturated) foods, sugary foods and include more vegetables and fruits in the diet. Regular exercise is the next important thing in controlling obesity. Engage in regular physical activities help in enhancing the efficiency of restrictions made in the diet. Exercises like walking, swimming, cycling etc may be useful. Diet restrictions and exercises should go hand in hand to prevent and treat obesity.
  2. a) Vital signs are a group of important medical signs that indicate the functioning of vital organs in our body. The main components are temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood pressure. These are the primary vital signs. In addition to this, oxygen saturation is also considered to be vital nowadays. b) Vital signs are an important component in patient care as it plays an important role in evaluating patient's condition, taking life saving decisions and to provide care accurately. It is of immense importance in ED as well as wards to identify any deterioration in client's condition and thereby prevent complications.
