• Isolate sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer and wrist watch for the patient.

• Clean the sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer with spirit cotton.

• Handwashing is done before and after checking vital signs.

Procedure:

• Place thermometer at the arm pit of patient after cleaning it valve to stem and keep it for 3mins.

• check radial pulse in 1min.

•Check respiration by observing up and down of abdomen in 1min.

• check blood pressure by sphygmomanometer and stethoscope after cleaning the articles.
