Group technology is a technique in which parts having similar geometry and configurations are clubbed together and are manufactured together at one location using a small number of processes or technique. The underlying principle is that a single solution can be found for a multiple problems, thus reducing time and cost. Thus simplifying the process plan and scheduling.
