1. Contorller is a device, which sends a output signal to the process system or final control element. The output signal magnitude is based on the magnitude of the error signal.

2. Set point is a desired value of the controlled variable. That is desired value of output.

3. Reverse acting done by final control element, which is exactly an oppsite action of the error signal.

4. Integral control action: The oputput from the controller is proportional to the integral of the error .

5. Control valve is a pneumatic device that moves the valve system as pressure on a spring loaded diaphragm changes. There are two control valves. 1. Air-to-open and 2. Air-to-close.
