Employer mandate under the affordable care act will be advocating that employer must offer health Insurance that is affordable and they should be providing minimum value of 95% of their full time employees and their children up to the end of month in which they turn 26 years of age, or they will be subject to the penalties. This is known as the employers mandate and it applies to the employer with 50 or more of the full time employees and full-time equivalent employees who are working for 30 or more than 30 hours are considered as full time employees.

The coverage will be considered affordable if the employer contribution for the employee -only coverage do not exceed a certain percentage of employee household income, and the cost of self only coverage is less than index percentage of some IRS standards.
