ACT- Affordable Care Act.

It is a comprehensive health care reform law enacted in March 2010.

Some times known as Patient Protection and Affordable care Act or Obamacare.

The law has following effective components:

1)Make affordable health insurance available to most people. The law provides consumers with subsidies that lowercosts for house holds with income between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level.

2)Expand the Medicaid program to cover all adults with income below 138% of the federal poverty level.

3)Support innovative medical care delivery methods designed to lower the costs of health care generally.

4)To reform the private insurance market especially for individuals and smaller group purchasers.

5) To change the way that medical decisions are made.

6) Extending coverage for young adults.

7) Expanding coverage for early retires.
