A ski resort applies steep discount to hotel rooms based on whether forcast that suggests several weeks of unseasonably warm temperatures.

an IT team disables several costomer accounts when it realizes their passwords may have been leaked.

A fashion retailor increases their price when it realizes there will be stong demand for new product.
