Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related events in a specific population for analyzing and taking control of health problems. Epidemiology as a subject is an interdisciplinary field it is data-driven and heavily relies on an unbiased collection of sample data and interpretation. It is a quantitative subject which requires the knowledge of probability, statistical tests, research methodology, biology, behavioral sciences, ergonomics, and physics to explain health-related behavior, state, and events.
