How would you describe the central role of nucleus in cells?
Ans : Cells are of two types Eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells.Out of these two only Eukaryotic cells has a nucleus, which is bounded by a double wall membrane structure which is called as a nuclear membrane.
The nuclear is discontinuous membrane having nuclear pores, which acts as a protein channels for regulating the exchange of materials between cytoplasm and nucleoplasm. It regulates the cells in various ways but, the primary function of nucleus is tocontribute in cell division during reproduction. The main function of the cell nucleus is to control gene expression and mediate the repication of DNA during the cell cycle.
