silenec gene expression. They can act on nearby or distant genes
and can be situated either upstream or downstream of the gene they
regulate.
Telomeres are repetitive sequences of non-coding DNA that
protect chromosomal end deterioration resulted after every round of
replication.
Certain regions of DNA can function as the Scaffof Attachment
Region. These are the sequences of DNA where the nuclear matrix
attaches.
