b. The possible causing pathogen of the diarrhea was Salmonella.

The most common pathogen responsible for diarrhea is Salmonella because they are found in very common foods like raw and undercooked eggs, unpasteurized milk, and other dairy products, vegetables like sprouted melons, etc. It can be also transmitted from infected animals or infected food handlers.

d. The most contributing factors causing foodborne illness are-

  • Improper food preparation.
  • infected person manipulating cooked food
  • Food from unsafe sources.
  • The inadequate temperature during cooking
  • Using of contaminated equipments during cooking.
