Is it possible for mammals to mate with other species?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans. Yes, it is possible for mamala to mate with other species. But in certain cases it is difficult too.

There are prezygotic and post zygotic sepration too.

In prezygotic sepration or isolation a species can not mate with the other species due to some physical Barriers, anatomical barriers a d the environment barrier. At the time of fertilization different animals show different behaviours, so it is almost impossible for two mammals species to interbreed.

But some species like the horse and donkey mate with each other and form the mule and hinny. So in natural conditions, sometimes it is possible for the mammals species to mate with each other. The inbreeding to produce different hybrids.

But in normal conditions, it is not possible for the species to mates.
