ANSWER: The pros and cons of changing from eight hours to six hours work day are as below:

Pros:

-- Employee health: Research shows that employees who work shorter hours have a significantly good health compared to those who work for longer hours.

-- Work-life balance: A 6 hour week can provide people with a balanced life and devote more hours to their passions outside the job, including sports and hobbies.

-- Greater productivity: Healthier and happier employees are likely to deliver higher productivity to the company

-- Monetary savings: The work schedules can become more flexible and company can also save on less working hours.

-- Better Employee Engagement: The workers are less likely to take sick leave or be stressed as they have plenty of time to recover and rest. Consequently they return to job feeling ready to accept the new challenges at work

Cons:

-- Less availability for customers: When the company cuts back on working hours, it may affect the customer availability.

-- Less payout: The employees would be paid less when there is a reduction in the working hours

-- Inefficient hour: For majority of the jobs, six working hours might not be sufficient, for example the barrister or surgeon

-- Competitive environment: In competitive industries, six hours might not be sufficient to face the competition

In my opinion a playful leader would not only accepts, however actively supports a playful culture in an ethical manner. The play does not have a pre-determined and clear outcome, and when there is goal there is no clear path to reach there. The playful leader may would be proposing a vision as well as a direction for the company however can never be set in stone thus there might be certain situations when he might cross the line in an unethical approach

PROS AND CONS OF A SECOND JOB There was a time when moonlighting—taking on work in addition to your full-time employment—was for under-employed workers and the severely cash-strapped. Today, even working professionals can be cash-strapped, and people in all fields and income groups are supplementing their main income by moonlighting. For some, the second job isn’t just for the bucks but also for the skills and the sense of being a free agent. And although extra part-time jobs used to...

MKTG 300 chapter 6 Starbucks has soft business periods (low sales) during the day, specifically lunch hour and 4 to 5 PM. This is partly due to the fact that consumer perceptions/attitudes view them as the morning stop for their cup of Joe before or on their way to work and in the morning and afternoon break at 10 AM & 2 PM.
