6 Think about the results you recorded.
a. Growth on the MacConkey agar and NA plates was recorded as “good growth,” “poor growth,” or “no growth.” These are qualitative and, at least for the first two, subjective terms. What did you use to establish what constituted “good growth?”
b.Why wouldn’t it be advisable to compare growth of the organisms on each plate to each other? There are at least two answers to this question!
A. To analyze the growth pattern whether the cells multiplication and mass formation ocurrs or not is determine by these type of microbial experiments.this experiment done by diluting stock solution then plate plating and then to wait for the result for atleast 24 hours after That they will form colonies which will be countable manually etc.
These growths based on following criteria-
1. No growth- no any growths taken place or colonies.
2. Poor growth- if colonies were less than 10 or equal to 10 then it will be consider under poor growth and should be reanalyze.
3. Good growth- if colonies were more than 15 colonies then it will be consider as good growth and it is concentrated in natue.
B. In each plate there is different inhibitors works which cause its action in it. Which means this is unable to understand or we can't compare plates with each.
