In the process of producing red blood cells from bone marrow kidney has to produce erythropoietin to stimulate this process . Erythropoietin is the substance that stimulates bone marrow in red blood cell production and when kidney is injured erythropoietin will not be produced.so volume of RBC decrease in blood
Hematocrit is the percentage of red blood cells compared to the total number of blood cells in the body .
