Why should backup schedules be reviewed and why is undertaking such a practice important.

Backup schedules are the schedules during which the backup of all the systems data is to be ensured. It is very important to take backup of the systems data at a frequent intervals. We have to take backups of systems data because there may be many chances that the data in the systems will be lost. These include sudden system failures, deleting data by mistake, virus attacks, hacking, destruction of office buildings etc. Backing up the data is the only solution for all these problems. If we didn't backup the data we may lose information regarding stocks, account balances, pending payments etc. which lead to problems in preparation of financial statements & audit reports. Hence it is very important to take system backups at frequent intervals of time which also requires reviewing of schedules.
