Why is it important to incorporate routine into developing comprehension of print concepts in regards to literacy development? Provide examples of how you will incorporate routine in regards to literacy development into your future professional practice.

Having a print-rich environment is important for developing children’s language skills, because they discover that there is another way to communicate—through print.

A print-rich atmosphere aids and foster the skills which is needed for reading. Kids start to discover cues which aid them in figuring out words they look which lays down the foundation for reading and literacy development and it also spurs their interest in writing. Children needs to model what they view around them as well as communicate in written form. If children are in an atmosphere which has signs, labels and charts, then they can be exposed to words , letters and numbers quickly and can form connections among the letters and the operation they serve. Literate development must motivate emphasize and motivate the importance of reading, speaking and writing.
