self determination theory states that people will engage in a behaviour or outcome if they fell they are capable of achieving something.It is a self motivation perspect of an individual.Their expectancies are shaped by the outside environment.Self esteem is a factor that improves self determination.In an organization if a person is doing a duty that is creating a happiness state the outcome will be better than doing it on a non voluntary state.The goal can be either intinsic or extrinsic.That is satisfaction for one self or to achieve external goals.
