Answer #1

To measure creativity, some psychologists used the term of "Divergent Thinking", the ability to think many paths and many solutions to a problem.(Diakidoy and Spanoudis, 2002).Thus there is no gurentee that havingthe ability to come up with different answers or different ways of thinking of looking at a situation will lead to creative results. Creative behaviour requirs divergent thinking that is appropriate for a given situation or a problem. To be productive rather than just wired, a creative person must be firmly anchored to reality, understands society's expectations, needs, values and learn from the knowledge and experiences of others. (Sternberg and Lubart, 1992)
