Spearman conceptualised intelligence in terms of two factors. In his view, intelligence comorises of one general ability (g) and several specific abilities (s) thatt emerge from it. Gardener, on the other hand, proposed the multiple intelligence theories, in which intelligence can be manifested in terms of 9 specific modalities. These include musical-rhythmic, visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic and existential. Lastly, Sternberg put forward the triarchic theory of intelligence and held that intelligence that there are three distinct types of intelligence that a person can possess. These three types are practical intelligence, creative intelligence, and analytical intelligence.
