According to Bowlby, an internal working model is a mental
representation of our relationship with our primary caregiver that
becomes a template for future relationships and allows individuals
to predict, control and manipulate their environment.
Apart from relationship with parents which have been a major
factor in shaping my personality and outlook towards life,I guess
my friends and teachers have been another influence. Interacting
with them have obviously widened my realm of knowledge and opinions
about the world. It has changed my way of living my life. Apart
from that,just watching personalities on television and reading
about the big achievers in different fields has also helped me
shape my personality and environment and the kind of people I want
to be surrounded with. Understanding the value of relationships has
been influenced by my family and friends.
