According to Cooley’s “looking glass self” our identity is based on how we think others see us, even though we may really not know what others are thinking. In relationship to peer pressure, we can say that based on this theory we will act according to the likes and dislikes of our peer. For example, if we are popular in our peer due to our expensive clothing from; stores in the mall like Hollister, Aeropostle and Abercrombie will continue wearing such clothes to be popular.
