What two concepts must youth first develop in order to fully experience the looking glass self (List and explain)

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The two concepts that shape the self concept of a person is

  • judgement
  • feedback

During the childhood and adolescence the judgement that a person makes about himself/herself about what others feels or evaluates , shapes the self concepts of that person.

Based on his/her judgements about the interpretation and perception of others ,the feedback that he/she receives about the self reflects the self in others.

Thus, based on these a person in adulthood forms a self concept that is either positive that is a person reflects a positive image of his/her self in others perception ,or, a negative self concept because a negative self image is reflected in others perception.

Company researchers have determined that adults’ head breadths are normally distributed with a mean of 7.1 inches and a standard deviation of 1.3 inches. Children’s head breadths are normally distributed wtih a mean of 5.2 inches and a standard deviation of 0.9 inches. Due to financial constraints, the helmets will...

A college bookstore must order books two months before each semester starts. They believe that the number of books that will ultimately be sold for any particular course is related to the number of students registered for the course when the books are ordered. They would like to develop a linear regression equation to help plan how many books to order. From past records, the bookstore obtains the number of students registered, X, and the number of books actually sold...

Assume that in the absence of government intervention, Firm 1 generates 500 units of emissions and Firm 2 generates 500 units of emissions. Suppose Shreveport regulators decide to reduce total pollution by 400 units. If...
