Describe the different aspects of a test you may examine when deciding whether or not to use that test. In other words, how do you know whether the test is any good? Give an example.
There are teo aspects one should check in order to ensure if it’s good for use:
1. Reliability, the measure of consistency of the test. This refers to assessing whether test produces stable results. One way to ensure reliability is to check if an individual takes the test over different periods of time, his or her scores should not vary drastically.
2. Validity, the measure of accuracy if the test. This refers to checking if the test measures that it claims to measure. For instance, if we are using an emotional intelligence test, we would want it to measure emotional intelligence only and not aspects of intelligence like abstract intelligence.
