Mesoderm stimulate ectoderm to produce neural plate. The ectoderm is what gives origin to the neural tissue. The ectoderm forms a flat layer of tissue called neural plate. This plate folds at the ends and start to converge and the two ends of plate are joined to form a tube (leaving edges of plate) that is called neural tube. Later from this brain and spinal cord are formed. The remaining cells of neural plate (left edges) will migrate and develop into autonomic nervous system.
