How was the signification of Jesus' death with the Passover applied to gentiles?
Jesus was crucified during the Passover week which derives its significance from the past when the Israelites were redeemed from the hands of the Egyptians. Gentiles are people who are considered as non-Jewish thus pushed to the lowest level in the social order. Jesus always stood for them by fighting the domination of people in the higher order. He spent most of the time strengthening the gentiles and fighting the oppression of both the Jews and the Romans. Thus his death on the Cross signifies the liberation of gentiles from the hands of the high class Jews and from the oppression of the Romans alike.
