Humankind acted and sinned against the will of infinite God.Either mortal humans pay for our sins for the infinite time or infinite soul pay for it for once.That is why according to the Christianity only son of God can pay for our sin and sacrificed him on the behalf of humanity.Due to his great sacrifice, Jesus Christ saved us from eternal punishment.
