What observations of motivation in other people come to mind and how well do they fit with the theories we are discussing?

Answer #1

Observations of motivation in other people come to mind when we think that a person’s mental state is important to learning. Our own mental state and motivation play an important role in determining whether we will learn a behavior or not as Bandura realized that reinforcement does not always come from outside sources. Intrinsic reinforcement such as internal reward, as pride, satisfaction, and a sense of accomplishment motivate people and help them in performing a task. The theory that is applicable here is the social learning theory by Albert Bandura.
