2. From the motivation theories discussed in our lecture, which one explains better the motivation to learn of college students?
1. As per my views the motivation is very much dependent on the age of a person for example the amount of responsibilities increases with time and hence it motivate person to a greater level as compared to the motivations that one have during the teen ages but this also decreases when a person acquire a certain age or complete his/her responsibilities. Therefore motivation is an age dependent property.
2. The theory that can be used to explain the motivation towards learning of college going students is Alderfer – ERG theory and precisely the Growth need of the Alderfer theory which accounts for the personal growth and self development of an individual.
