The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program is a customer-focused federal program that develops evaluation criteria, manages the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in order to promote performance and competitiveness of US organisations.

In its assessment, it uses a criteria of evaluating the success of not only a particular leader or management but review of the entire serving culture of the organisation. A servant culture is a mission driven and values based enterprises that includes servant leader, servant-led employees, a servant environment designed to ensure that employees’ highest-priority needs are being met. In this way, organisations which focus on a customer base built through team accomplishments and an employee centered approach are said to be high on the criteria of assessment for the Baldrige performance
