The "Journey to Crime" is important to analyze the following
points:
- To undertsand whether the offender's traveling to the location
of the incident had the motive to commit the crime.
- To undertsand the reason of
journeying to the crime site by the offender and to understand the
patterns of offender's behavior in choosing and covering the
distance to commit crime.
- To predict the characteristics of
the victim and the offender in choosing the particular spot for
committing crime, and evaluating the reasons for it.
