It is important to state the limitations in a research study because researchers assume several factors which might not work in the real world, they assume a certain growth rate, and try to forecast or conduct study based on several other factors which might not continue to work because of several reasons.

The limitations depend on whether those don't stand in the way of the end result or could not significantly impact the result if it was taken into consideration. Than it won't hurt the soundness of the result.

"Definition of terms" is important in a research study as important terms are defined in it, which are just used as reference in the beginning. The reader gets a clear understanding after reading this section or when he doesn't comprehend the clear meaning.
