Why is it important to study the history of Science and Technology?"

Absolutely it is important, for several reasons:

1. History tells us how we came to know what we know, why research is critical, and why doing it is difficult.

2. History has many lessons on what can go wrong, in technology, in sprituality, and the relationship between research and society.

3. History recognizes the people and institutions that advanced the technolgy and made it scientific and so motivate students to do better.

4. History teaches us , that we should never give up. Invention need lot of patience, hardwork and contant dedications.

6. History shows us how errors can lead to insights and why it is important to address research questions by falsification rather than by just accumulating facts, in order to avoid being misled.
