Aversive stimulus is an unpleasant stimulus which when occurs after a behaviour, the likelihood of that behaviour happening decreases in the future due to this.

An example of aversive stimulus is making a child do house hold chores if that that child does not do his homework.

1. A shock used to enhance leadingl can be harmful to a person.

2. Drinking alcohol is harmful for mental and physical health, but it may not be aversive, infact it may be reinforcing as it provides pleasure.

3. A sportsperson who comes late for prractice has to practice extra time, this is an aversive stimuli but it will not be harmful to the person.
