Inattentional blindness occurs when we fail to perceive a stimulus that is clearly present in our perceptual field. For example, I spent a lot of time looking for a T-shirt in my closet but I could not find it. I then sought my mother's help and she immediately spotted it. On the other hand, change blindness occurs when a particular stimulus undergoes some form of transformed and we fail to not notice it.
