Quitting Cigaratte smoking
Classical Conditioning:
There's a conditioned response of turning to cigarette smoking during the stress times. The addiction to nicotine also play the role, hence, requires a strong will power.
Inorder to break this habit of smoking, smoking should be replaced with other good habits as stress relief.
Exercises has been replaced with cigarettes. Exercises becomes the conditioned response to stress.
Operant conditioning.
Excercising regularly during stress times and during the urge of smoking is rewarded positively, as it helps to cope stress, also it keeps the body in shape. Simple stretching excercises, a two minute push ups, etc, helps to reduce anxiety and stress.
Observation learning
Got inspiration for this from a friend. Observed him doing simple excercises to overcome the harmful habit of smoking.
