Provide an example of a SINGLE behavior and explain how all three perspectives (classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and observational learning) played a role in its development and maintenance. This is not an easy post; therefore, give some thought to your initial post.
When the behaviors are learned by association and by modeling in the social contexts, it involves classical conditioning, operant conditioning and observational learning. For example- We avoid food that has caused some problems to a dearly loved person of life. We may have not directly faced the problems, but we have watched them in trouble. As children of high diabetic individuals avoid sweet and starchy food items. They have associated these food with issues that their parents face- the classical conditioning. They learn to avoid these food- the operant conditioning of negative reinforcement. They have observed these behaviors in their parents- the observational learning. Thus, all three perspectives play their part in developing and maintaining that behavior.
