Answer #1

A subculture is a cultural group within a culture that differs in one or more ways from the original or parent culture. The differences may be in terms of interest, behaviours or beliefs, like religion, ethnicity, and social or economic status. Subcultures are part of society while keeping their specific characteristics intact.

I can cite a subculture to which I belongs and that is Harekrishna subculture. Most popularly this sub culture is also known as ISCON Culture. In this sub culture people firmly believe in the existence of Lord Krishna. They love the Hindu God Krishna and perform street dances and rigorous chanting and traditional drumming. They even worship idols of Krishna with milk and honey. It is a part of Greater Hindu culture yet it is different from HINDU Culture in the sense that Harekrishna culture believes in the existence of Lord Krishna and they worship Lord Krishna, while HINDU culture believes in the existence of 3300000000 Deities which includes Krishna also.
