Charles Sumner was senator and a leader of Radical Republicans. His main goal was to bring social justice for blacks. He also supported prison reform and educational reform .He worked hard to destroy the Confederacy ,free all the slaves and have good relation with Europe.

Thaddeus Stevens was also a leader of Radical Republicans and he was against slavery and discrimination between African American .His main goal was to crush slavery and to give equal rights.He also became the advocate of free education. His last battle was to secure articles of impeachment in the house against Johnson.
