Five Main Pillars/Points of Islam religion are

  • Shahada- This is the belief and faith that there is only one god that is 'Allah' and 'Muhammad' is his messenger.
  • Salat- This is also known/called as prayers or namaz. These are acts of worship that Muslims have to do/perform five times a day.
  • Zakat- this explains the offering of alms. There is a fixed amount coming from some percentage of income that should be donated to a good cause or in the path of god.
  • Roza- This is also known as fasting. The holy and auspicious month/time of Ramadan in which Islam followers hold fast. This helps in self-control and give away worldly desires.
  • Hajj- This is also known/identified as the pilgrimage- A popular practice/ritual among Muslims where they go to perform hajj at least once in their whole lifetime. People go to Mecca and Medina [Saudia Arabia] and perform various confined acts of rituals.
