1) Hypothesize how temperature of water changes as it freezes.
2) What happens to temperature of ice after its melted?
3) What happens to temperature of water as it gets heated?
4) What happens to temperature of water after it starts boiling?
1. As we all know that water start freezing at 0°C or 32°F. That was not always the case but normally it freezed at 0°C. 0°C is also known as the temperature where the phase changes takes place it means the Ice is converted water or vice versa.
2. Ice is water frozen solid. Ice can be cooled to a temperature even hundred of degrees below zero, if sufficient energy is removed. During vice versa (when heat is added)the opposite happens .
3.when you a give a heat to a water then it's temperature it goes on increasing and it reach to a point where again phase changes occur, water changes to steam at around 100°C.
4. When the water reaches it boiling point then adding heat will not going to increase temperature further but water utlise this given heat energy to convert water into steam.
