The philosophy “Hiring the personality, and training that person to do the tasks of the job” is valid and a better way to approach the problem of recruitment and its implementation by the businesses. Usually, it is seen that the hr management misses a key are of a factor for the process of selection of a prospective candidate for the job. Candidates are selected based on the requirement of the job first and then their own, relevant skills are taken into account by the person conducting the process. It is necessary for the business to take into consideration the personality of the person appearing for the interview as the criteria to select them for the job. It is because of the fact that changing basic human nature and personality trait is next to impossible. You can think about it like this, Jobs are varying tasks that can change based on the requirement of the company. Since they have a degree of uncertainty and unpredictability, it's better for the recruitment agency of the hr management of the company to select a factor which might remain constant through the process of change by the requirement of the job. They need to have great values, attitude and good interpersonal skills, which will enable them to be able to learn any job that is given to them. And, the job does not get to decide which person can do that particular job, rather, which jobs can be done by a particular person and how willing are they to do the jobs, gain skills, learn on the job and in essence, grow.
